THE HATING GAME

The Hating Game is a story about Lucy and Joshua. They’ve hated each other since the day they met. They’ve reached their boiling point with each other. But, Lucy and Joshua soon realize that maybe they don't each other, maybe its just another game.

Usually I don't read romantic comedies because I find them quite boring. I’m more of an adventure, or fantasy type, with a bit of romance. I picked this book because of all the hype that I had heard. I honestly read this book all in one night. I couldn’t put the book down. I think it was a funny, sweet, intoxicating office romance. I think the book was written well, I don't think it dragged on. I thought the book was well paced and the characters were thought out and the dialogue was funny.

Some might see Joshua as being very mean to Lucy, especially in the beginning of the novel, but I was glad to see that he didn't cross a line. I’ve read novels where two characters hated each other and they were so ridiculously horrible to each other where it didn't make sense for them to end up together. I liked how even though they hate each other, they haven't crossed a line which would be impossible to go back on.

4.5/5. Would recommend if you're looking for a well written romance novel.
